Photo Editing Program {Question}

Question for all of you -
I have been playing around with the online photo editing site picnik.com, which I think is pretty cool. What drives me nuts is that I have to load my pictures, edit them and then save them back onto my computer before posting and/or ordering them. Does anyone have a suggestion for a program that they really like for editing pictures on their computer. I would love to get/buy something that can be used right on my computer. I don't need anything fancy smancy. Remember, I am far from being techy! I would like to add text, change pics to B/W or sepia, basic editing... Help! Thanks!

Hi there!
Creative Memories Memory Manager. It is the greatest. It is very simple to use! You can edit and orgainze all of your pictures. You can change to black & white and sepia and more! I must say it is the best! I couldn't recommend a picture program enough. Any questions, just let me know.

"Picture it" is another simple program that you can use on your computer, that is fairly cheap and easy to use!

My friend Jennifer said (excuse the cut and paste):

Yes, she can down load Picasa – it is a free google photo editing and sharing site. I has some of the toots and whistles of the picnic site. Also Adobe Lightroom is good and fun and easier to use than Photoshop. You have to buy lightroom though (at bestbuy…)
Hope this helps.

I use Picasa too. It is easy to post pictures to a website, order online or do just about anything.

Thanks to everyone who left comments and/or sent emails. I think I am more confused now than when I started:) Thank you!
